Where to Go to Get Your St. Louis Sports Fix

St. Louis has a lot to entertain residents and visitors alike, especially when it comes to sports fans. Whether you’re looking for something you and the whole family can enjoy or you’re a die-hard fan who never misses snatching up season tickets, St. Louis has plenty of venues and spaces for those who love sports. Here are some of the most popular spaces to catch a game in St. Louis:

1. Busch Stadium

If you’re a Cardinals fan, then you’re probably no stranger to Busch Stadium. This venue is host to an amazing ballpark with a stunning view of the St. Louis skyline and the Gateway Arch as a backdrop. This modern yet retro stadium opened downtown in 2006, and holds 46,000 seats. There are three main seating decks here: the main, loge, and terrace. The baseball field is meticulously kept and has bleachers on the left and right field for visitors to get a great view of the game. There are plenty of escalators and stairwells for people to reach the upper levels, as well as several concession areas with snack and drink options for fans. One huge bonus: the concourses are open so fans can still see the field even while getting their snacks.

2. Scottrade Center

This next venue is the premier spot in St. Louis to see a St. Louis Blues hockey game or a big-name concert. This fan-friendly space is large, holding about 20,000 people. Glass seating here is coveted, as well as the club level seats, which include food, drinks, and dessert in the ticket price. Parking in the area is typically plentiful, with several lots within a 5-minute walk to the venue. Show up early for a game or show at this popular St. Louis venue, and enjoy the great atmosphere on a date or family night.

3. Chaifetz Arena

This venue is the home of the St. Louis University Men's and Women's Basketball teams and the Billikens. The St. Louis University basketball program is part of Division-1, and they play in the Atlantic 10 Conference. The Chaifetz Arena opened in 2008 and has been filling with fans ever since. Located on the St. Louis University campus, they have over 10,000 seats and host over 150 events each year. There’s hardly a bad seat in the house, and great video visuals accompany the game. Whether you’re there to see a basketball game, a family show, or a concert, you’ll have a great experience at this venue.

4. World Wide Technology Soccer Park

This soccer park is the place where Saint Louis FC plays home games, within the Toyota Stadium. Located just 15 minutes from downtown St. Louis in Fenton, MO, soccer fans can get the full experience. Whether you’re bringing the whole family or enjoying the game solo, there’s plenty of food and beverages to satisfy everyone. The facility has recently undergone some great renovations to make your experience even better, with new lighting on the field, a Budweiser Biergarten, and bleacher upgrades.

5. The Family Arena

Just 30 minutes outside of St. Louis is the Family Arena in Saint Charles, MO. This is a smaller arena that hosts hockey games, concerts, and even circus performances. As a smaller venue, they host minor league hockey teams. They mostly host smaller events here than you’d find at Scottrade, making it a cheaper alternative to seeing a Blues game, with lower ticket prices for you and the whole family to enjoy.

Whether you’re a sports superfan or you only attend games for the delicious snacks, you have plenty of places to get your sports fix in St. Louis, and at all different price points to suit your budget. If you’re looking for a family-friendly outing or great afternoon with friends, rooting for your favorite team in an exciting game is a great option.
